Lolly Stick Fairy Door Craft

Make your own mini fairy door out of lolly sticks, card and foam. This is a great craft for a little girl and looks fun standing against the skirting board!

Make your own mini fairy door out of lolly sticks, card and foam. This is a great craft for a little girl and looks fun standing against the skirting board!

To make this DIY fairy door you will need:

Paint (pink)

Paint brush

Button (white)

Glue (pva or glue gun)

Scissors

Pen

Step 1Using the pen, draw the shape you want your fairy door to be on a pink piece of card. This should be approximately 12 cm tall.

Step 2Place the lolly sticks inside the shape you have drawn, with the tops of the sticks lining up with the edge of the shape. Then draw a line on the sticks where the end of the paper is.Then, place two more sticks across the others horizontally, …

Place the lolly sticks inside the shape you have drawn, with the tops of the sticks lining up with the edge of the shape. Then draw a line on the sticks where the end of the paper is.

Then, place two more sticks across the others horizontally, and draw lines on these where the side of the other sticks are.

Step 3Cut the sticks across the lines that you have drawn. Glue them down onto the card (and stick the two shorter pieces across the others as shown in the photo). Then cut the card around the lolly sticks to make the fairy door shape.

Step 4Once you have cut out the fairy door, mix up the paint to the colour you like, and paint the lolly sticks. Leave to dry.
