Make a watermelon coaster out of rope with this simple tutorial. You could even craft a whole set of different fruit coasters for a great addition to the home!

To make this watermelon coaster you will need:

Step 1Put some glue in the centre of the sheet of foam and stick the end of the rope to it. Then glue around the end of the rope and begin to wrap the rest of the rope around it in a circle. Continue this until it is the size of a drinks coaster.

Step 2Once you are happy with the size of the coaster, ensure the end of the rope is glued to the foam and then cut around the shape.

Then paint around the edge of the rope with the green paint, leaving a small white line in-between the two colours. Leave to dry. Once the red paint is dry, paint some small black dots over the top of it to create the watermelon seeds.
