To make this DIY fairy door you will need:

Paint (pink)

Paint brush

Button (white)

Glue (pva or glue gun)

Scissors

Pen

Step 1 Using the pen, draw the shape you want your fairy door to be on a pink piece of card. This should be approximately 12 cm tall.

Using the pen, draw the shape you want your fairy door to be on a pink piece of card. This should be approximately 12 cm tall.

Step 2 Place the lolly sticks inside the shape you have drawn, with the tops of the sticks lining up with the edge of the shape. Then draw a line on the sticks where the end of the paper is. Then, place two more sticks across the others horizontally, and draw lines on these where the side of the other sticks are.

Step 3 Cut the sticks across the lines that you have drawn. Glue them down onto the card (and stick the two shorter pieces across the others as shown in the photo). Then cut the card around the lolly sticks to make the fairy door shape.

Step 5 Draw around the fairy door on the back of a sheet of glitter foam, then draw an archway wide enough to cover the edges of the sticks. Remember to leave two shapes on the left hand sides for the hinges! Then stick a white button onto the lolly sticks - this will be the door knob.
