These DIY woolly hat egg cosies are a great fun and simple craft to make with the kids this winter! They're so easy to make and use hardly any materials (and will keep your eggs really warm!)

To make these mini woolly hats you will need:

Scissors

Step 1Slice the toilet roll into sections (one toilet roll should make 4-5 hats).Then, cut the wool into 30cm pieces. Each hat will need quite a lot of these!
Step 2Fold one piece of wool in half, thread it through the middle of the toilet roll, and then back through the loop (as seen in the photo above.)Repeat this step until the entire roll is covered.
Step 3Using one piece of wool, tie up all of the ends of the wool you have attached to the toilet roll. Tie the knot into a tight double knot. Finally, trim the ends of the wool until you get a lovely shaped pom pom on the top.Place on your egg…
