Follow the steps to craft a ladybird pencil topper out of foam and a pipe cleaner. You could even make more bug friends - a bumble bee, a caterpillar and lots more! To make this bug pencil topper you will need: Pipe cleanersFoam sheetsGoogly eyes GlueScissorsPencil Step 1Wrap the end of a pipe cleaner round the pencil to create a spiral. This will need to be quite tight as it is what will hold your craft to the top of the pencil. Leave about an inch at the end of the pipe cleaner straight - this will be to stick the ladybird to it. Step 2Cut out the shapes for the ladybird from the foam sheets. This will include the body (black), a circle to stick behind the body (black), the wings (red) and the spots (black). Step 3Glue the red wings onto the body, then stick the black spots onto the wings. Stick the googly eyes to the ladybird's head. Cover the back of the body in glue, place the end of the pipe cleaner onto the glue, then cover the other side with the black circle that you cut out in step 2.Subscribe to my newsletter to receive fun craft ideas, offers and freebies! Please note: this blog post contains affiliate links, however all opinions are my own and I only link to products that I personally use and recommend.
