Upcycled Black Typography Globe
If you have an old globe lying about then this is the perfect craft for you. turn a globe into a stylish piece of DIY home decor. Customise the text to say whatever you want!
To make this globe you will need:
Paint brush
Gold/copper paint pen (optional)
Step 1
If possible, take the globe apart so the stand and the globe are separate. If this isn't possible that's fine just be careful not to get black paint on the stand! Paint the entire outside of the globe black and leave to dry.
Step 2
Paint the stand with the copper or gold paint and leave to dry. Once all the parts are dry, put the globe back onto the stand.
Step 3
With the gold or copper pen (or use the paint if you don't have a pen) carefully write the word of your choice onto the black globe. I wrote explore in a swirly font! If you are using paint you might have to do a few coats so it stands out on the black.
Once the writing is dry, the DIY black and copper globe is ready to display in your home! You could try using chalkboard paint to make a chalkboard globe!
